Going the extra mile to improve outcomes and increase life chances for children

I was appointed to the post of Head of Lionwood Infant and Nursery School in 2007 and have been the Executive Head of the Lionwood Schools Partnership since 2014. When creating the partnership, it was important to protect the unique and individual qualities of each school, and at the same time, making the quality of education and the transition process seamless for children and their families.

The schools offer an inspirational broad and balanced curriculum with memorable learning experiences, which support children to retain and build knowledge.

The partnership enables key members of staff to develop strong relationships with children and families over time, giving a more ‘primary school’ feel, whilst benefiting from two complementary sites with different strengths.
